About
Cédric Debernard
Geopolitical analyst and author
Cédric Debernard spent more than thirty years between military operations and corporate security. He first served in French Naval Aviation, then held senior security leadership roles in major multinational corporations, ending as global head of security for an engineering group.
Now based in the United States, he writes essays, articles and novels about geopolitics, international relations and the grey zones where strategy, risk and human behavior meet.
He holds master’s degrees in industrial engineering, occupational health and public administration. That mix shapes the way he approaches security, risk and governance: less as separate fields than as parts of the same problem.
His analysis regularly appears in Geopolitical Monitor, JNS and Cercle K2, and on his Substack, Au-delà des discours (Beyond the Talking Points). He is the author of two essays, Uncontrollable and Israel, Actually, and of several novels including the Thomas Foucher series on Canadian intelligence.
